The Real Story Behind Rumours ATL™:
How a Basement Dream Became a Legacy
This page recounts my personal creative history with Rumours ATL™ — not commentary on any current performers or bookings.
In 2014, I stood in a flooded Smyrna, Georgia basement with nothing but a shop vac, a cheap mic, and a ridiculous amount of hope. I didn’t know it yet, but that night would change every corner of my life. I built Rumours ATL™ from scratch — the branding, the vision, the aesthetic, the sound, the drama, the dream. It grew from a basement idea into one of the highest-grossing Fleetwood Mac tribute acts in the world, and for nearly eleven years, I lived as Stevie Nicks onstage.
This band shaped my entire adulthood. It took me across states, across stages, across versions of myself I didn’t even know existed. There were packed venues, incredible nights, friendships, heartbreaks, long drives, and even longer soundchecks. Rumours ATL™ was more than a band — it was a legacy of creativity and connection.
But dreams evolve. Stories twist. Chapters end.
In 2025, after years of being the founder, the voice, and the driving creative force behind Rumours ATL™, my relationship with the project changed. The band continued without me — but the name, the concept, the brand, the origin? Those are part of my story, my work, and my identity.
For transparency and accuracy, I’m including the factual timeline regarding the domain and trademark process.
In June of in 2025, a complaint was filed with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) regarding the domain RumoursATL.com, a domain I had registered and used for the band I founded. I did not participate in the proceeding, but the WIPO panel issued a decision in which “the Respondent did not reply to the Complainant’s contentions” and ultimately “the Panel denies the Complaint.”
As a result, the decision states that “the disputed domain name shall remain with the Respondent.” RumoursATL.com stayed in my name and continues to reflect the story I created — now evolving into Starting Rumours: My Life As A Mockstar.
This podcast is where I tell that story — the music, the memories, the long nights, the turning points, and the cost of chasing a dream that starts to pull you apart. It isn’t about anyone else’s version of events. It’s my perspective, my experience, and my way of honoring the years I poured into Rumours ATL™ while also finally moving forward.
This is the heart of the project. This is where the truth lives. This is where the legacy continues — reclaimed, redefined, and finally, authentically mine.
This page exists to document my creative history and trademark ownership. It is not a request for venues to alter or cancel any existing bookings with other performers.
