Rumours ATL™ began in 2014 as the creative vision of Atlanta artist and performer Mekenzie Zimmerman, who founded, named, and built the tribute act from the ground up. Her concept, branding, and onstage portrayal helped Rumours ATL™ grow into one of the most recognizable Fleetwood Mac tribute acts in the United States.

In 2025, after a WIPO ruling denied an attempt to transfer RumoursATL.com, the domain remained with its original registrant — Zimmerman — who continues to develop her creative work and storytelling under Rumours ATL Productions.

Today, she is creator and host of Starting Rumours: My Life As A Mockstar, a critically praised personal narrative podcast detailing her decade- long journey inside the tribute scene.

Extended Bio — Founder: Mekenzie Zimmerman

Mekenzie Zimmerman is a singer, writer, and creative director best known as the founder and original frontwoman of Rumours ATL™, a Fleetwood Mac tribute she launched from a Smyrna, Georgia basement in 2014. Over nearly eleven years, her artistic direction shaped everything from the band’s visual identity and promotional aesthetic to the emotional storytelling woven into each performance.

Her creation evolved into one of the highest-grossing tribute acts in the U.S., performing from coast to coast as well as internationally and developing a passionate fanbase.

In 2025, a WIPO domain dispute challenged the ownership of RumoursATL.com. Zimmerman did not respond to the filing, and the panel ultimately denied the complaint, explicitly ruling that “the disputed domain name shall remain with the Respondent.”

RumoursATL.com continues under her name and now serves as the home of Rumours ATL Productions, an umbrella for her music, writing, podcasting, and upcoming media projects — including Starting Rumours: My Life As A Mockstar, a narrative audio series chronicling her rise, burnout, departure, and creative rebirth.

RUMOURS ATL™ is a mark associated with the creative concept, branding, and original performance identity developed by Mekenzie Zimmerman, founder of the Rumours ATL tribute project established in 2014.

In 2025, a complaint was filed with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) regarding the domain RumoursATL.com, which has been registered to Zimmerman since its inception. As reflected in the published decision, “the Respondent did not reply to the Complainant’s contentions,” and “the Panel denies the Complaint.” Accordingly, “the disputed domain name shall remain with the Respondent.”

RumoursATL.com continues to operate under its original registrant as the official home of Rumours ATL Productions and the Starting Rumours podcast.
